Background The Margaret Pinniger Clinic for the Psychotherapies is a private tertiary referral facility that offers advanced schema-focused CBT paradigms and evidence based psychoanalytic approaches in a cutting-edge bio-psychiatry context.

The Pinniger Clinic recognizes the importance of spiritual dimensions, the creative arts in therapy and complementary medicine approaches.

Practitioners Our team. We have some of the best psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and corporate consultants from Queensland and interstate, many with internationally recognised credentials. Consultations by arrangement with individual therapists.

Models of practice. A Jungian analytic orientation, with its range of concerns, from Self Psychology to psychosomatics to spiritual issues informs our central practice. While well versed in Cognitive Behavioural and Physiological Psychology approaches, we bring a psychodynamic orientation to extend and amplify our clinical work.

In essence, if you want your referred patients to be assessed and treated at the highest standards and to experience a sense of being met empathically and sensitively in all their human complexities and depths, this Clinic is your option.

Training Our Institute of Psychiatry branch is also a resource if you want to maintain, or develop psychiatric, psychological, psychotherapeutic and organisational psychology skills.

The Director, Dr Leon Petchkovsky is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry with the University of Queensland. He is the President of the CG Jung Institute and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Jungian Analysts. He visits remote Central Australian communities regularly.
